Aziz Jabarkhail
Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Aziz Jabarkhail serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Unity Relief Organization (UR), where he provides strategic leadership and guidance to advance the organization’s humanitarian mission. Under his leadership, the organization focuses on expanding relief programs, strengthening partnerships, and empowering vulnerable communities through education, health, relief, culture and sustainable initiatives.
Mr. Jabarkhail studied Political Science at the University of Washington, where he developed a strong academic foundation in public policy, governance, and international affairs. His education helped shape his long-standing commitment to humanitarian service and social justice.
Throughout his career, Mr. Jabarkhail has worked with government institutions and nonprofit organizations dedicated to human rights and community development. He has also contributed to initiatives associated with organizations such as Amnesty International, supporting advocacy efforts that promote human rights and social responsibility.
Tariq Karimi
Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Tariq Karimi serves as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Unity Relief Organization (UR), where he is responsible for overseeing daily operations and supporting the implementation of the organization’s programs and initiatives.
Mr. Karimi studied Computer Science, developing strong technical and analytical skills that support organizational management and operational efficiency. He has professional experience working with government institutions, where he contributed to administrative and technical initiatives aimed at improving public services and organizational effectiveness.
As COO, Mr. Karimi works closely with the leadership team to ensure the smooth operation of programs, strengthen internal systems, and support the organization’s mission to deliver humanitarian relief and community development initiatives.
Ajmal Lewaal
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Ajmal Lewaal serves as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Unity Relief Organization (UR), where he oversees the organization’s financial management, budgeting, and resource planning to support its humanitarian mission.
Mr. Lewaal holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), which has provided him with a strong foundation in finance, strategic management, and organizational leadership. Throughout his professional career, he has worked with international banking institutions as a Finance Officer, gaining extensive experience in financial operations, financial analysis, and responsible management of financial resources.
With his background in international finance and financial management, Mr. Lewaal plays a key role in ensuring transparency, accountability, and efficient use of resources at Unity Relief Organization (UR).
M Amin Kamalpuri
Chief Media Officer (CMO)
Chief Media Officer | Investigative Journalist | Media and Digital Communications Strategist
Mr. Kamalpuri is a media professional and investigative journalist with more than 14 years of experience in international journalism, multimedia production, and digital communications. He has worked with leading international media organizations including the BBC and Azadi Radio (Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty), serving in roles such as investigative journalist, multimedia editor, radio journalist, and digital content creator.
He currently serves as the Chief Media Officer (CMO) of Unity Relief Organization (UR), where he leads media strategy, public communications, and digital outreach initiatives aimed at strengthening public awareness and supporting humanitarian efforts.
Mr. Kamalpuri holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Nangarhar University and has extensive experience in multimedia storytelling, social media engagement, and digital journalism.
